Jun 01, 2022 - Markets traded slightly down throughout the day and then accelerated downward near the close. Mixed economic data both eased concerns of an imminent recession while also reinforced data that inflation may be cooling. The Fed may have regained credibility, so one bank says.
May 31, 2022 - Markets were choppy and then dropped in the last half an hour of trading. General business activity for manufacturing in Texas plunged to the lowest reading since May of 2020. Home prices keep rising at a record pace. Meanwhile, The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller 20-city home price index in the US surged 21.2% year-over-year in March of 2022, a new record high, above market forecasts of 20% . 
May 30, 2022 - We said in late 2021 that inflation was the "only" thing that matters, where we used quotes around only to signify that of course we cannot totally discount company specific news (or wars).
May 27, 2022 - Stocks roared higher driven by economic data. The Fed's preferred inflation measure (PCE) dropped to 6.3% annually, down from 6.6% in the prior report, while the monthly change of +0.2% was the smallest rise in one and a half years.

May 25, 2022 - Stocks rose after Fed Minutes showed urgency for raising rates to tame high inflation. Officials at this month’s meeting were in agreement on need for further half-point increases in June and July. The MBA Purchase Index in the United States rose a bit, but is now far below prior highs.
May 24, 2022 - Economic data and a Snap Inc. warning filled the market with all the news it needed. New home sales in the United States sank 16.6% month-over-month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 591,000 in April of 2022, the lowest since April of 2020 and well below forecasts of 750,000 data shows.
